The Perham Cross Country Boosters Club would like to invite you to 23rd Annual Turtle Fest Road Race. We have a Half Marathon and a 5k/10k. We have hired out professional chip timing (Gopher State Events) that will feature live results and start and finish chip timing. In addition, our updated courses from last year have better start and finish setups and course flow. This will also help us better manage traffic flow for parking. We would love to have you come and run one of our races on Saturday, June 16th. The Half Marathon will begin at 7:00 am with the 5k & 10k at 8:00 am. All participants will receive a T-shirt. All Half Marathon Participants will receive finishing medals. All races have Age Group Awards.
2018 Race Registration for the Turtle Fest must be received before Thursday, June 14th otherwise late fee will be applied to registration.

Pre-Registration & Packet Pickup
Packet Pick-up & Pre-Registration will be offered on Friday, June 15th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Perham Area Community Center in Perham. Race Day Registration & Packet Pick-up will take place starting at 5:45 a.m. and closing 15 minutes prior to races.
Half Marathon will start at 7:00 am and 5k/10k will start at 8:00 am.
Free Kids Fun Run
We will host a free kids fun run at 9:00 a.m. The course will go one loop around the Softball fields by the finish line for the 5k, 10k, & 1/2 marathon. The run is approximately a quarter mile. There are no awards or results. No registration is required other than filling out a release form on the day of the fun run.
The time limit for completing the half marathon is 3 hours. Any half marathoners finishing after 3 & 1/2 hours will not be scored as official finishers.
Participants must be at least seven years old on race day to register for the half marathon. The 5k/10k has no age requirements.
Course Map and Course Location
Registration & Start will be located on Highway 51 at Arvig Park by the softball & baseball diamonds. Start and Finish Line are both in Arvig Park by the softball/baseball diamonds. All races will use chip timing. For the Half Marathon we will have AID stations with water and gatorade every 2.5 miles and 5 Porta Potties place at aid station on the course. We also include a gel packet at the 7 mile aid station of the half marathon.
Headphones are allowed for race participants.
Top Overall Male & Female for each race will receive awards.

All preregistered half marathon & 5k/10k participants receive a t-shirt at packet pickup. All official half marathon participants receive a finisher medal. Race Day entries are not guaranteed a t-shirt the day of the race, but will be given out on a first come first serve basis. If you do not receive a t-shirt we will mail out upon your request with an addition $5 for postage.
In the event of extreme or unsafe conditions on race day, the Turtle Fest 5k/10k & Half Marathon may be altered or canceled to ensure the safety of all participants and the community as a whole.

Finish time temperature has averaged 65 F.
